Same drama, different team.
Thibs is available
You got to wonder, when players call a player-only meeting, does LeCoach walk out and LePlayer walks back in?
Damn, LeGM is ruthless.

Ty Lue: Yes, my Lord. Right away.
I wonder what former player that he's played with will take over for Luke?
Side effects of Lebron lol
[–][ORL] Mohamed Bamba andrew2018022 38 points 4 hours ago
Yeah he leaves the room with his suit on and comes back in with his jersey.
Strange how the only coach Lebron has ever had that wasn't in constant fear about losing his job can actually coach really well, who woulda thought?
This is much funner to read from the other side.
Bruh this is crazy. Their best player without Lebron is Kyle Kuzma. What the fuck is Luke Walton suppose to do with that?

Can you avoid odd things falling out of your mouth during games?
I look ok in a suit.
I can sit for long periods of time looking intense.
I will work for 10% of the previous coaches salary, saving the organization millions, enough to pay for a shooting coach so they can learn how these free throw things work.
Not a rumor when it comes from Jackie Mac.

I’m a huge LeBron stan but I’m sick of his massive influence in the franchises he joins. Tried to push Spoelstra out, got Blatt fired, now wants Walton out. Add to this that he agitates for trades and contracts that kneecap teams in the long-term, and I’m worried we’re going to see him hurt the Lakers with bad contracts like he did the Cavs. Yeah, the Cavs made the Finals a lot, but that was a much worse conference. People need to stand their ground in that organization and he needs to trust Magic. Otherwise, why did he sign a four-year deal?
Richard Jefferson. They'll pay him to worship LeBron to the media
Yeah this is some bullshit. Look at that roster and how Rondo could’ve had like 30 assists last night if they had some talented players. Idk what happened to KCP and even Hart has looked pretty awful.
Jeanie completely dodged his question when Zach asked "Is Luke's job safe for the year?" and basically said, "the organization is behind Luke right now"
[–]Warriors Haejang-guk 168 points 4 hours ago
We're going to find out pretty quick what kind of organization the Lakers are going to be in the Magic/Pelinka era. When Bron wanted Spo fired, Pat Riley said no fucking way. (Worth noting Spo is now regarded as one of the best in the league)

It's ironic, because the one coach who he couldn't get fired, Spo, got Lebron playing the best of his career, he wasn't taking bad jumpers, locked in on defense, and Miami's famous "weigh ins" every two weeks had him in the best shape of his life.....
[–]Heat SmokingFrog 49 points 4 hours ago
Ty Lue is an excellent playoff coach. He routinely outcoached Brad Stevens and Dwayne Casey and won a ring against Steve Kerr. Ty Lue coached a playoff team that has the highest playoff offensive rating in NBA history - The 2016-2017 Cavs

[–]Warriors The_Squidsticks 64 points 4 hours ago
I don’t think firing Luke Walton will make the team much worse.
Everyone should know this is what they signed up for
i dont really think a lebron led team needs coaching to be successful as we've seen. its a matter of do people get along and play together
I think lots of Lakers fans around here thought it might be different because you had a strong presence in Magic running the show this time around.

She also wouldn’t give a straight answer as to whether Luke will still be the coach at the end of the season. Basically her answer was “I don’t make the decisions, I just want them explained to me”

LeBron seems to get coaches fired everywhere he goes. If the world smells like shit, look under your shoe.
Still doing the same shit, the media just decided not to cover it anymore
So LeBron faked that injury just to take time off to sabotage the Lakers to try getting rid of Walton.

[–][GSW] JaVale McGee ashwinr136 45 points 5 hours ago
Honestly, Lebron's handling of coaches is the one blemish on his career—I feel like he'd have won another ring by now if he'd allowed himself to be "coached" like other stars in the past have and that says more about the power of players in the modern NBA than it does about Lebron.
Oh no. Doesn’t that basically mean LeBron becomes the coach of the team.

On the Windhorst and the Hoop Collective podcast, Jackie mentioned that Lebron and his inner circle have made it known to the Lakers organization that they would prefer to move on from Luke Walton. Brian and the other guests agreed. She also said there is a lot of tension right now in the organization.

Say hello to your new coach, James Jones!
Can’t wait for this to actually happen. Then I can take a bet with Vegas that within 24 hours, we’ll see a tweet from windhorst saying “sources say Lebron and his camp were totally surprised by Lukes firing”
